Deli Clerk

Duties Prepare and assemble deli products such as sandwiches, salads, and hot foods following established recipes and safety standards. Operate POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently. Assist customers with their selections, answer questions about products, and upsell items to enhance their shopping experience. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, including proper food handling and storage practices to meet health regulations. Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy while providing friendly cashiering service. Restock shelves, arrange displays attractively, and ensure product freshness throughout your shift. Support food safety protocols by following sanitation procedures and adhering to food industry standards. Experience Previous experience in food preparation or food service is preferred but not required; culinary or restaurant experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in sales transactions. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and assist shoppers effectively. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate measurement of ingredients or portions. Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques. Experience working in quick service or fast-food environments helps manage high-volume periods smoothly. Ability to work well within a team while managing time effectively in a busy retail setting.
