Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our brand new dental practice in Daleville, Virginia. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting our dental professionals, ensuring a seamless patient experience, and contributing to the success of our practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures by preparing the treatment area and providing chair-side assistance. Take and develop dental x-rays (as required), maintain and sterilize instruments, and ensure proper infection control protocols are followed. Prepare patients for dental examinations and treatments. Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and maintenance of their oral health. Manage and maintain inventory, order supplies, and ensure dental equipment is in good working condition. Schedule and manage patient appointments, handle billing, and maintain accurate patient records. Create a welcoming and comforting atmosphere for patients to alleviate any anxiety or concerns they may have.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited dental assisting program is preferred. X-ray certification and CPR certification are required. Proven experience as a dental assistant is a plus, but we welcome entry-level candidates with a willingness to learn and grow. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Familiarity with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is advantageous.
