Dental Assistant Job Description Joseph A Savoini DMD PC is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our team at our vibrant and growing dental office. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to pursue a supportive role in dental health services while contributing positively to our team's dynamics. Please note, this is not a remote job, and the successful candidate will be expected to work at our office location. Dr. Savoini is passionate about delivering top-notch dental care in a friendly and inviting environment. This role is crucial for maintaining the high standards of patient care that our practice is known for. Our office keeps up with continuing education and feel it is important to keep up with the newest of equipment and ADA guidelines. Which makes the dental career exciting with growth, learning and caring for patients. Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures. Set up and breakdown operatory pre & post treatment. Take dental radiographs (x-rays) as prescribed. Take intra-oral pictures Scan teeth/full arches to prepare for dental procedure Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment. Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures. Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing). Take impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth). Help with organization procedures. Monitor and maintain the dental equipment, such as the autoclave, units, lights and x-ray machines, in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines. Requirements High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Radiography certification as per state requirements or willing to learn and participate in the Radiography certification process. Ability to perform basic computer functions. Exceptional communication and patient care skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrable ability to take instructions and responsibility. Commitment to the highest standards of patient privacy and ethical conduct. Willingness to participate in continuing education and training in the dental field.
