Dental Assistant

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent chairside assisting skills, and familiarity with Dentrix or Ascend. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols Take dental X-rays while adhering to safety standards and HIPAA regulations Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage patient records Provide chairside support during various procedures Equipment maintenance ordering supplies Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently Qualifications Previous experience in a dental clinic is required, with a strong understanding of dental terminology Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix is preferred but willing to teach Strong knowledge of infection control practices Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
