Job description Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our standards of excellence. This position is perfect for individuals looking to further their career in the food industry, particularly in fine dining settings. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary needs when required. Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and kitchen protocols. Experience Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, particularly in fine dining or high-volume settings. Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and familiarity with various cooking methods. Experience with menu planning and understanding dietary requirements is a plus. Strong knife skills and proficiency in using kitchen equipment are essential. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
