Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! Your expertise in dental procedures, patient communication, and infection control will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and confident. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, and endodontic treatments with precision and professionalism. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging tools. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols. Manage patient records accurately using EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, including updating medical documentation and coding procedures appropriately. Provide chairside assistance with aseptic technique and maintaining a sterile environment to prevent infection. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and explain dental terminology clearly to foster understanding and comfort. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist and managing medical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards. Collaborate seamlessly in four-handed dentistry setups to enhance efficiency during procedures while maintaining high standards of anatomy knowledge and infection control. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry procedures. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, infection control practices, and aseptic technique. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging devices confidently. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages while demonstrating professionalism and empathy.
