Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
  • Take and record patients' vital signs
  • Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
  • Take and develop dental x-rays
  • Perform dental laboratory duties such as pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and taking impressions
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
  • Maintain a clean and sterile work environment
  • Manage inventory and order dental supplies
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical imaging techniques
  • Proficiency in using Dentrix or other dental practice management software
  • Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
Skills:
  • Epic (Electronic Health Record system)
  • Aseptic technique
  • Vital signs measurement
  • Knowledge of human anatomy
  • Eagle soft dental practice management software
  • Dental assisting techniques and procedures
  • Infection control protocols
  • Medical terminology knowledge
  • Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
