Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your passion for patient wellness and attention to detail will help create a positive, comfortable environment for every individual who walks through our doors. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Take and evaluate vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to assess patient health status Assist with medical imaging procedures like X-rays while maintaining strict infection control protocols Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort Review and update medical records accurately in electronic medical record (EMR) systems using HIPAA-compliant documentation practices Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions Conduct patient assessments to identify oral health issues and collaborate with dentists for treatment planning Requirements Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice in the state Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix Ascend for scheduling, documentation, and record management Experience with pediatric dentistry and working with pediatric patients preferred Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform dental assisting tasks including chairside support and patient care in a fast-paced environment Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and data security Prior experience working in a dental clinic or general dentistry setting is highly desirable Join us to make a difference in patients' lives by providing compassionate care in a vibrant, team-oriented environment.
