Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front office operations of our dental clinic, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients, and efficiently handling administrative tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and medical scheduling, as well as proficiency in office management software. Duties Greet patients warmly and check them in for their appointments. Schedule and confirm patient appointments using Open Dental software. Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Handle incoming calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, appointments, and insurance. Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries. Assist with clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies. Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth clinic operations. Educate patients on office policies and procedures related to their care. Skills Proficient in dental terminology and medical scheduling practices. Experience with Open dental management software is preferred. Strong clerical skills including 10 key typing accuracy. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinic environment.
