Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dental Technician for a position within our dental laboratory. This role focuses on foundational removable prosthetic workflows, including the fabrication of custom trays, base plates, wax rims, model duplication, and articulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of removable processes, excellent hand skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a production-driven environment while maintaining high quality standards. Key Responsibilities Fabricate custom impression trays according to prescription and case requirements Construct accurate base plates and wax rims for complete and partial denture cases Duplicate models using appropriate materials and techniques while maintaining anatomical accuracy Mount and articulate cases using various articulator systems and bite registrations Interpret work orders, lab slips, and clinical instructions accurately Ensure proper extension, fit, and stability of trays and record bases Maintain accuracy in vertical dimension and occlusal plane when fabricating wax rims Collaborate with technicians and supervisors to ensure case readiness for next production stages Inspect work for quality control, consistency, and adherence to lab standards Maintain an organized and efficient workstation Follow all safety, infection control, and laboratory protocolsRequirements:
Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required) Prior dental laboratory experience, preferably in removable prosthetics Familiarity with custom tray fabrication, base plates, and wax rim construction Understanding of dental anatomy and basic occlusion principles Ability to read and interpret dental prescriptions and lab instructions Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications 1-2+ years of experience in removable dental lab workflows Experience with model duplication techniques and materials Familiarity with semi-adjustable articulators and mounting procedures Exposure to digital workflows (scan/design) is a plus but not required Skills & Competencies Precision and craftsmanship Time management and ability to meet turnaround expectations Strong organizational skills Problem-solving and adaptability Team collaboration and communication Work Environment Dental laboratory setting. Work involves fine motor skills, use of hand instruments, rotary tools, acrylics, and impression materials. Position may require prolonged periods of close visual focus and repetitive hand movements.
