General Knowledge and Experience Must be bilingual and able to speak Korean fluently in order to effectively communicate with students, families, teachers, and school staff. Must have a 4-year college degree, preferably in Film, Television, Media Production, Education, or a related field. Must have participated in the production of at least one feature film or four short films as a writer, producer, director, editor, crew member, cinematographer, or in another significant production role. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must successfully pass a background check before a contract is offered. Must be willing to learn and apply filmmaking as an effective tool for developing students' social-emotional skills, literacy, college readiness, and career readiness. Must have reliable transportation and a car. Duties Complete 40 hours of required shadowing and training before classroom placement. Generally work approximately 5 hours per week, per class, including classroom instruction and required preparation. Be available for assignments that may take place in the morning or afternoon. Attend monthly Zoom or in-person team meetings. Collaborate and prep with fellow Teaching Artists before or after classes as needed. Support students through hands-on filmmaking, including writing, directing, camera, sound, editing, and production activities. Work Locations Anaheim Bellflower Orange County Compensation & Hours 40 hours of required shadowing/training: $17/hour

Teaching Artist:

$40/hour after completing training and being placed in a classroom assignment Average assignment: approximately 5 hours per week, per class
