STORYBOARD ARTIST

CREATIVE WORKFLOWS & PRODUCT INNOVATION

AI-powered storyboarding and creative workflows and needs a strong Storyboard Artist to help evaluate and test these emerging workflows. The project has two main workstreams: 1. Animated Content Exercise

•Spirit Use Spirit as a defined test case to evaluate AI-assisted animation/content workflows

Compare AI-assisted approaches against existing creative workflows

Evaluate quality, efficiency, creative control, and where artist intervention is needed 2. AI Storyboarding Tool Discovery + MVP/Prototype Explore how generative AI can accelerate professional storyboarding while maintaining artist control and creative quality

Document the current storyboard workflow, bottlenecks, revision cycles, and artist pain points

Test emerging AI/creative tools and prototypes hands-on

Identify opportunities to improve productivity and potentially increase artist output

Provide feedback on artist controls, usability, and workflow design

Help shape recommendations for future product/engineering investment ??

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We need more than just a traditional storyboard artist... looking for someone who is a strong visual storyteller + creative problem solver + curious about emerging AI/creative technology.

Ideal background:

Professional Storyboard Artist / Story Artist / Revisionist / Supervisor / Director

Animation TV, feature, or comparable professional production experience

Strong cinematic storytelling, staging, composition, character performance, and continuity

Comfortable working from scripts, dialogue, audio, references, and assets

Experience with Storyboard Pro, Photoshop, and professional animation pipelines

Able to identify workflow inefficiencies and communicate creative/technical needs

Comfortable experimenting with unfinished or emerging creative technology

Familiarity with generative AI, image/video tools, or creative workflows is a plus

Strong communicator who can translate artist needs into workflow/product requirements Strong Storyboard Artist profiles who would be excited to work at the intersection of animation, creative workflows, and emerging AI technology!
