Job Description

Job Summary Seeking skilled Scenic Painters to join our creative production team for The Haunted Trail of Balboa Park, a seasonal haunted attraction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in visual arts painting and experience with various painting techniques and materials. This role requires a keen eye for detail, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively on projects. Responsibilities Base painting of pre-built sets and props. Scenic painting; including, but not limited to, distressing, grunge, weathering, and fine art. You will work alongside other scenic painters while following direction from the scenic lead on site. All paint, supplies and tools are your responsibility to clean and return to the on-site paint storage area each day. (will be supplied but more than welcome to bring your own brushes/tools). Abid by all OSHA work standards.

Requirements:

Must have reliable transportation A basic understanding of artist rendering and enthusiasm for the arts. Previous scenic or theater experience is advantageous but not required. You will be asked to provide a digital portfolio or IG account of any previous art and/or scenic work you have done.

The Location:

You will be applying for Pre-Production (August) located at our shop in Miramar and on location in Balboa Park (September). Additional work will be available for disassembly November 2nd-11th. Join us in creating stunning visual experiences that bring our haunts to life!
