Maker Studio Kidz - San Francisco, CA Part-Time $21-$25/hour, depending on experience Monday-Friday | 1:30-6:00 PM Maker Studio Kidz is looking for creative, energetic Teaching Artists to join our after-school programs.
We are currently hiring for:
Lead Teaching Artists - Able to independently lead and manage an after-school class of approximately 10 students. Assistant Teaching Artists - Support the Lead Teacher with projects, classroom management, setup, and cleanup. You do not need to be available every day. Please let us know which weekdays you are available. About Maker Studio Kidz Maker Studio Kidz is a hands-on creative learning program where kids explore art, design, sewing, STEAM, building, and imaginative problem-solving. Our goal is to give children the freedom to explore, invent, build, experiment, and create while developing confidence in their own ideas. What You'll Do Teaching Artists lead and support creative projects for elementary-aged students.
Projects may include:
Arts & crafts Painting and mixed media Sewing, textiles, and fashion STEAM challenges Upcycling and recycled-material projects Puppetry and storytelling Building and creative engineering You'll help prepare materials, explain projects, encourage creativity, manage students, and create a fun and positive classroom environment. We're Looking For Someone Who Loves working with children Has experience in art, design, crafting, education, camps, youth programs, or a related creative field Is patient, dependable, energetic, and adaptable Is comfortable managing groups of elementary-aged children Can follow provided curriculum while bringing their own creative energy Is comfortable with setup, cleanup, and organizing materials Is dependable and punctual Artists, designers, makers, college students, educators, and creatives are encouraged to apply.
Schedule After-School Programs:
Monday-Friday, approximately 1:30-6:00 PM We are looking for both Lead and Assistant Teaching Artists across different weekdays. Additional work may also be available for school holiday camps, summer camps, weekend workshops, birthday parties, and community events.
