Overview A Youth Mural Painting Instructor leads engaging, collaborative art experiences that inspire creativity, teamwork, and self-expression through large-scale mural projects. The instructor teaches fundamental painting techniques, guides participants in developing a shared mural concept, and creates a positive, inclusive environment where youth can build artistic skills while contributing to a meaningful community artwork. Duties Plan and facilitate age-appropriate mural painting sessions for youth participants. Teach basic drawing, painting, color mixing, and mural design techniques. Guide participants in brainstorming, designing, and completing collaborative mural projects. Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment that promotes creativity and teamwork. Prepare, organize, and maintain art supplies, painting materials, and workspace before and after each session. Demonstrate proper use and care of painting tools and emphasize safety procedures. Encourage self-expression while helping participants develop artistic confidence and skills. Monitor participant engagement and provide individualized guidance and positive feedback. Ensure murals are completed according to project timelines and quality standards. Experience Experience teaching art, mural painting, or visual arts to youth in schools, camps, community centers, or after-school programs. Ability to foster creativity, collaboration, and positive social interaction among participants. Experience planning and leading group art projects is preferred.
