Theme It Productions is a creative powerhouse based in Orlando, FL, specializing in custom scenic builds and immersive environments. From large-scale stage productions to themed experiences, we bring bold visions to life with artistry, precision, and a whole lot of heart (and paint). We're currently looking for a Scenic Artist to join our team on a temporary basis to help support upcoming projects now through the end of August. ⸻

Position Overview:

The Scenic Artist will work closely with our team to paint, texture, and finish scenic elements of various shapes, sizes, and materials. You'll be responsible for bringing the final visual polish that makes our work shine — literally and figuratively.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with a variety of surfaces: foam, wood, plastics, fabrics, etc. Apply scenic painting techniques including color matching, dry brushing, washes, faux finishes, wood grain, distressing, and more Follow paint elevations, renderings, and reference photos Mix and match paints to desired shades and finishes Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Collaborate with team members to ensure deadlines are met Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team ⸻

Requirements:

Proven experience as a scenic artist (5 YEAR MIN) Strong understanding of scenic painting tools, techniques, and materials Ability to read and follow design renderings or paint elevations Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, or with large scenic elements Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy objects Comfortable standing, climbing and bending for long periods Ability to work outdoors in the heat/humidity and cold Experience with airbrushing or scenic sculpting Knowledge of sealing/clear coating materials Positive attitude and team-first mentality ⸻
