Can you command a room, make people laugh, keep a group on track AND teach them how to paint? Painting with a Twist Pensacola is looking for fun, energetic Artist/Event Entertainers to lead our painting experiences. Yes, you need artistic ability with acrylic paint - but being an amazing fine artist is not the most important part of this job. We're looking for someone with personality, stage presence, strong communication skills, and the ability to teach and connect with all kinds of people. Our guests aren't coming to us for a college-level art class. They're coming to relax, have fun, connect with friends and leave feeling proud of something they created. Your job is to make that happen. What You'll Do Lead guests step-by-step through a painting from start to finish Entertain and engage the room while you teach Read the room and adjust your teaching style, pace, and energy as needed Teach guests with a wide range of abilities — from "I've never held a paintbrush" to experienced painters Keep the class on schedule and manage your teaching time effectively Create a fun, encouraging environment where guests feel successful Provide individual assistance without losing control of the overall class Prepare your teaching area and supplies before class Clean and reset your space after events Learn and practice assigned artwork before teaching Lead public classes, private parties, kids' events, corporate groups, and occasional offsite events You may be a great fit if you: Are outgoing, energetic, personable, and comfortable being on stage Have strong public speaking skills Can confidently lead and manage a group Can explain things clearly and break a painting into easy-to-follow steps Can read a room and adjust when guests need more help, more energy, or a faster/slower pace Have strong time-management skills and can keep an event moving Are patient and encouraging with beginners Have excellent customer service skills Are dependable and take scheduled events seriously Are comfortable receiving feedback and learning our teaching style Are regularly available nights and weekends What About Art Experience? You should be comfortable with acrylic painting and have the ability to recreate and teach our artwork. But we're looking for FUN ART — not fine art.

Pay:

$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
