Musical Theater ProductionTBD Schedule:
Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:00- 5:15 at Eliza Chappell Elementary School, classes start January 5 but auditions will be in December.
- collaborate on the set design
- collaborate on sourcing materials
- provide rough drawings that will serve as guides to discuss and ensure clarity of communication
- Collaborate with Music Director on sound design
- Collaborate with lighting designer on light cues
- Collaborate with costume designer to support crew in helping with costume measurements and distribution
- Attend occasional production meetings with production staff, Create timelines and collaborate on lesson plans for crew students Independently you will:
- Lead the student stage crew to create the sets
- Communicate with crew students
- paint sets and backdrops
- organize, clean and maintain tools, supplies and work space
- create any necessary props (some are already in storage)
- strike the set
Qualifications:
- Experience creating theatrical sets
- Experience teaching visual art or stagecraft
- Experience backstage in a theatrical setting Qualities looked for:
- Works well in a collaborative setting and independently
- Resourceful and reliable
- strong creative skills
- good communication skills
- ability to successfully plan and lead a team
- Stage management experience
- set design experience
