Full Job Description Position:
Guest Lecturer - Artist Teacher of Trombone The Conservatory of Music at Wheaton College (Illinois) invites applications for a part-time guest lecturer position beginning August 26, 2026. Responsibilities include teaching applied trombone lessons and studio classes, recruitment and offering of "trial lessons," as well as adjudicating trombone auditions and performance juries. Compensation for guest lecturer positions range from $60 to more than $90 per instructional hour, dependent on qualifications and experience. All candidates should have evidence of successful applied teaching experience and a minimum of an earned master's degree in music. Priority will be given to applicants with a record of strong teaching, accomplished performance, and Christian faith.
