Louise Musto-Choate Scholarship Description:

Annually, ACM provides free studio space, professional mentorship, and a supportive environment to two emerging artists. We focus on uplifting and empowering artists who can be overlooked due to inequitable power structures in our society.

Louise Musto-Choate was a multitalented artist and Medford resident who was deeply involved in the artsmunity. She was also one of the primary forces behind the formation of Arts Collaborative Medford (ACM). Louise's legacy lives on through the artists supported by this scholarship.

The LMC Scholarship Will Provide:

A 60 sq foot studio space

• for 12 months at no cost; 24/7 access to the building An annual stipend of $350 A place in the ACMmunity, to learn alongside other artists Connections to mentorship and network contacts that are dependent on your artistic goals The co-creation of a final capstone project of choice, designed with you to help meet a specific milestone

Please Note:

•The studio space is located on the second floor, which is wheelchair accessible via lift.

Qualifications:

You are currently creating artwork andmitted to your craft, but looking to expand your practice.

The medium you work with is appropriate for the studio space provided. You are currently living below 50% of Area Mean Ie (AMI). This means your household ie is less than half of the regional median of $51,950 annually.

You are a member of a historically marginalizedmunity. The goal of this scholarship is to provide opportunity to anyone who has faced hardships because of inequitable power structures in our society.

You are interested in ACM's mission and have an expressed desire to be a part of a growing artistmunity that thrives on collaboration.
