Designer Greetings is looking for a Designer/Illustrator to join our art department. We're a team of creatives who value collaboration, originality, and design that makes an impact. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong conceptual thinking and proficiency in both traditional illustration and digital design. A portfolio is required for interviews and should include fine art pieces as well as digital design/illustration samples. This is a creative role for someone who enjoys researching, brainstorming new concepts, and developing them into thoughtful, well-executed designs. You must be detail-oriented and have a strong sense of color, typography, composition, and visual storytelling. You will create original artwork for greeting cards, gift wrap, and various stationery products. Designs should align with each product's tone and purpose, current market trends, and brand standards, while adhering to print production requirements. Strong illustration skills are required, including hand-drawing, painting, or creating digital illustrations for print. Experience with hand lettering and custom type treatments for greeting cards or social expression products is a plus. We offer a hybrid work schedule after a period of in-house training.

Strong conceptual, researching, and creative thinking skills Strong typographic and layout skills Highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (Mac platform required) Ability to develop concepts from brainstorming through refined design execution Working knowledge of print production and preparing press-ready files Strict attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and file management skills Project management, file organization, and archiving skills are required Traditional fine art skills are a plus

Pay:

From $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
