Props, Weapons, and Armor Instructor Positions open: (2) Part time
Position:
Props, Weapons, Armor Instructor Seeking:
Instructor at Professional industry level work to head props and armor department working with a variety of ages and skill levels. Will at times interact and work with other departments such as wigs, sewing, and makeup. Patience, professionalism, and personality is a must as is organization and basic computer skills. Familiarity with various scenes of the fandom such as Renn Faires, anime/video games preferred with a knowledge of the world of Cosplay. Will represent the Cosplay Vegas brand with professionalism.
Requirements:
5+ years of Experience strongly preferred.
This includes:
Experience in cutting, manipulating, treating, and painting foam, thermoplastics such as worbla, wonderflex. Background in costume armor, care, wear, storage. Knowledge in props of staves, swords, various weapons. Instructor is capable of patterning and creating on the fly a variety of challenges presented through artwork and sketches. Industry production background preferred in shows/film/media. Casting, sculpting, and molding experience is a bonus as is leatherwork. We look forward to hearing from you!
