ABOUT ARTIST BLOCK
Artist Block was founded by Anna Sweet, a serial entrepreneur who questions convention, innovates daily, and refuses to do things the way they've always been done. Three years in, Anna was named a wine industry leader. We are visionaries in this space and we're only getting started. We're not building a typical winery. We're building a movement and we hire with extreme intention.
THE ROLE
We're looking for a rare kind of leader: someone who can run a tight operation and pour wine with the best of them. A player-coach who leads from the floor, raises the bar for everyone around them, and takes genuine ownership of the guest experience from first pour to loyal club member.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
On the floor: Host tastings and build real relationships you read a guest in 30 seconds and make them feel known Drive club conversions and art sales with genuine enthusiasm Make every guest feel like the VIP they are Grow our Google review presence and build a local referral network On leadership and operations: Hire, train, and develop a team of tasting room associates Manage scheduling, daily line-ups, weekly team meetings, and KPI reporting Own inventory and vendor relationships across wine, F&B, and the gift shop, margins always top of mind
Own Tock:
reservations, booking mix, new hire onboarding, team training Ensure full OLCC and safety compliance On events: Plan, execute, and debrief guest experience and bottom line both in focus.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Non-negotiables:
Tasting room management or supervisory experience required Proven sales ability and a track record of leading teams Strong wine knowledge and fluency in wine club operations Comfortable with POS, reservation systems, data reporting, and budgets 21+ with valid OLCC permit; weekends and some evenings required What sets you apart: You lead by example and raise the energy of every room you walk into You think like an owner hospitality and margins are always on your mind You understand that unreasonable hospitality is a daily standard, not a tagline
WHY ARTIST BLOCK
Room to grow: we scale fast and love to overachieve and promote from within A skill set for life: wine, hospitality, operations, sales, leadership A team worth showing up for: tight-knit, creative, genuinely passionate A chance to matter: we're changing the conversation in wine Direct mentorship from Anna Sweet
NOT QUITE THERE YET?
If this role is calling to you but your resume isn't a perfect match apply anyway. We hire for heart, hustle, and hunger. Tell us why in your cover letter.
THE BOTTOM LINE
$22•24/hr base DOE + tips + uncapped club and AOV bonuses + art commissions + $700/quarter team bonus (up to $2,800/yr) + $100/period health reimbursement. PTO. Oregon Saves offers optional 401k contributions.
Solid performer all-in:
~$68•77k. Overachievers do even better. We mean it.
