Job Description

Part-Time Needlepoint Canvas Painter Let's Stitch Studio is growing, and I'm looking for a part-time Needlepoint Canvas Painter to join me in the studio! This is a hands-on creative position where you'll learn how to paint our hand-painted needlepoint canvases from start to finish. No previous needlepoint or canvas-painting experience is required — I'll teach you everything you need to know!
THE DETAILS
Part-time:
2-3 days per week Flexible schedule: We can work together to find days that fit your schedule Studio location: Rockaway, New Jersey, with the opportunity to eventually transition to a work-from-home setup Training provided: You'll learn my painting process, techniques, and quality standards Start date: Flexible / as soon as possible This could be a great fit for a college student, young mom, creative, artist, or anyone looking for flexible part-time work that lets them do something hands-on and creative.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR
You don't need to have experience painting needlepoint canvases — but you do need to be extremely detail-oriented.
The ideal person is:
Creative and comfortable working with paint and a small brush Extremely detail-oriented and takes pride in their work Patient and comfortable with repetitive, detailed work Able to follow instructions and replicate a specific painting style Comfortable working independently once trained Reliable and able to commit to 2-3 days per week Someone who genuinely enjoys making things by hand You'll be painting everything from small, detailed designs to larger needlepoint canvases, so patience, consistency, and a good eye for detail are much more important to me than previous experience.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You'll start by working with me in my home studio (must love animals; I have a 7 year old dog & lots of wildlife outside) so I can teach you the ins and outs of painting our canvases and make sure you're comfortable with the process. As you become more confident and consistent, there will be an opportunity to transition to painting from home with canvases provided by the studio. You'll be supplied with everything you need, the only thing you'll need to bring with you is a creative mindset! This is a great opportunity to learn a very specific creative skill while becoming part of a growing small business!
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 12.0 - 20.0 per week
Benefits:
Flexible schedule On-the-job training Tools provided
Work Location:
Hybrid remote in Rockaway, NJ 07866
