Job Description

We are seeking a Studio Assistant to join our creative DIY bead studio located in Downtown Round Rock. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fun, family-friendly environment and takes pride in helping both kids and adults enjoy hands-on crafting. As a Studio Assistant, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere, guiding customers through their bead projects, and ensuring the studio runs smoothly every day.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
Welcome customers upon arrival, provide clear instructions, and ensure they feel comfortable in the studio Deliver excellent customer service, answering questions, offering creative suggestions, and providing support throughout the crafting session Assist children and families with Perler bead projects, offering help with colors, patterns, and design ideas Safely and carefully operate the iron to fuse bead creations, ensuring quality results while maintaining a safe environment Monitor tables and supplies, keeping beads, pegboards, and tools well-organized and replenished as needed Maintain cleanliness of the studio, including wiping down workstations, organizing materials, and ensuring all equipment is in good condition Support group events such as birthday parties, school visits, and team-building workshops by assisting with setup, coordination, and customer needs Operate the register, process payments, and assist with basic sales of studio passes or bead kits Display patience, friendliness, and professionalism when interacting with customers of all ages Be reliable and punctual, with strong communication skills and a positive attitude No prior experience required — training will be provided, but experience in retail, childcare, education, or customer service is a plus Free unlimited crafting in studio Flexible schedule, fun work environment Discounts on workshops and supplies This role requires someone who can balance creativity with responsibility, ensuring customers have fun while the studio remains a safe and welcoming space.
