Job Description:
Centric Events & Rentals in Phoenix, AZ is looking for a General A/V Tech to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, engaged, and willing to wear many hats. Centric Events & Rentals is a growing team of people who are excited about events.
Our company straddles two industries:
weddings and social events, and A/V production. This position will fall mostly into the A/V production side.
Position Overview:
A General A/V Technician is responsible for the setup and operation of audio, lighting, or video systems for in-person, virtual, corporate, and concert style events. This role will be focused on the setup, strike, and operation of general A/V. The goal of our organization is a well executed event through timely setup, operation, and breakdown of audio-visual equipment at each event. Whether it is a wedding, concert, or business workshop it is important that this technician is able to modify the audio-visual needs based on real-time customer feedback. The technician should be able to set up a basic to intermediate sound system, basic projector and screen system, and basic lighting. We look forward to receiving your application, thank you!
Our ideal candidate:
At least 2 years of experience in the event industry. Professional, punctual, and a clear communicator. Willing to assist with all aspects of fulfillment from truck load, setup, strike, and unload. Seeks promotion & growth opportunities in our organization & a career minded commitment. Willingness to wear many hats and learn new skill sets required in a small business setting. Willing to work in any environment including outside during the summer months. Basic knowledge of customer service and client interaction. Hyper focused on quality and details.
Compensation:
$20-23/hr depending on existing experience.
Basic Requirements:
A valid driver's license and clean driving record. Reliable personal transportation to and from the workplace. Ready and willing to be client-facing. Must be able to lift ~50lbs multiple times throughout a shift. Team-first mentality. Experience driving cargo vans, box trucks and trailers. What your days will look like: Drive pickup trucks, cargo vans, box trucks, and tow trailers carrying inventory and equipment to our event locations if needed. Load and unload equipment on the job site. Set up, operate, and strike A/V equipment including audio, video, and lighting systems. Work through associated tasks contributing to the success of an event such as proper maintenance and storage of equipment. Working with management to identify additional gear needs related to the success of our events.
Candidate Bonuses:
Event production & management. -Experience in gaffing, rigging, banquets, hotel, electrical, or staging. Ability to make repairs to company equipment. Organizational management. Ability to sell additional products and services to clients in real time.
