Job Description

Casting "When the Mayhaw Sours," a Southern drama about Nina, a quiet and observant recent high school graduate visiting her grandmother, Luella, before leaving for college. While the two reconnect over a treasured family recipe for homemade mayhaw jelly, Nina struggles to deliver an invitation to her mother's upcoming wedding to a Black man. After an unexpected racist remark exposes Luella's deeply rooted prejudice, Nina must decide whether to preserve the peace or finally confront the beliefs threatening to divide their family. The film explores tradition, generational conflict, and the courage it takes to challenge someone you love.
