Job Description
AV Service Technician Role Summary An Audio Video Technician installs low-voltage systems in residential and commercial projects.
What we are looking for:
- Experience working with Crestron and Control 4 home automation systems, Multi zone music systems and home theater projections systems.
- Advanced understanding of Ethernet network system setup, including modems, routers, wireless controllers and access points.
- Able to mount video displays and projectors, to install, set-up, calibrate and troubleshoot multi-room audio systems.
- Understanding of wiring requirements for sub-systems like security systems, integration to control systems and set up of thermostats unsupervised.
- Practices exceptional wire management and dressing skills. (Racks interconnects and wire runs in construction)
- Expert knowledge and understanding of wire differentiation, connectors, connections, splicing and head-end termination.
- Full understanding of the pre-wire, trim and final phases of a project, including proper use of all associated tools.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Custom Residential AV highly preferred.
- Excellent computer and communication skills required.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Clean DMV record.
- Must pass a background and reference check.
