W-2 About the Role We are looking for an experienced AV Installation Technician to join our growing team in the Bay Area. This is a hands-on field position focused on the installation, integration, troubleshooting, and deployment of commercial audio-visual systems. The ideal candidate has experience working in conference rooms, corporate environments, and commercial AV installations and is comfortable traveling to customer sites throughout the U.S. Travel can be up to 80% depending on project requirements. What You'll Do Install and integrate commercial AV systems in conference rooms and commercial environments. Install displays, video walls, projectors, cameras, microphones, speakers, soundbars, and other AV equipment. Install and terminate low-voltage cabling including Cat6 and other AV-related cabling. Mount displays, projectors, cameras, speakers, and AV equipment. Install and configure conference room technology. Install and troubleshoot Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, and Google Meet systems. Install and configure equipment from manufacturers such as Logitech, Yealink, Neat, Barco, Nureva, Crestron, and similar AV manufacturers. Perform basic network and PoE troubleshooting. Test and commission installed AV systems. Troubleshoot audio, video, connectivity, and control issues. Read and follow AV drawings, floor plans, wiring diagrams, and scopes of work. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site. Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and other technicians. Complete detailed project documentation, photos, and closeout reports. Travel to customer locations throughout the United States as required. Work independently or as part of a larger installation team.
What We're Looking For Required:
3+ years of commercial AV installation experience. Experience installing conference room AV systems. Experience with displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, and audio/video equipment. Experience with low-voltage cabling and cable termination. Ability to troubleshoot AV systems independently. Ability to read basic AV drawings and installation documentation. Strong attention to detail. Professional communication and customer-service skills. Ability to travel up to 80%. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to safely lift and move AV equipment and work from ladders/lifts when required. Preferred Experience with Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, or Google Meet. Experience with Logitech, Yealink, Neat, Barco, Nureva, Crestron, or similar products. Experience with Dante or other networked audio systems. Experience with PoE/network troubleshooting. Experience terminating Cat6 and other low-voltage cabling. CTS certification or other relevant AV certifications. Experience leading junior technicians or installation crews. Travel Requirements This position can require up to 80% travel depending on project schedules.
Travel may include:
Regional travel throughout California and the Western U.S. Nationwide customer installations. Multi-day and multi-week projects. Occasional weekend or after-hours work based on customer requirements. Travel expenses, lodging, and approved business travel costs are covered by the company in accordance with company policy. Compensation $75,000 - $95,000 annually , based on experience and technical skill level.
