Torrance, California Position Title:
AV Field Technician I Overview:
AV technician with a 1+ years experience with custom AV/VTC commercial installation projects. This is an infield job, and this person will work sidebyside with other techs. Candidates must have experience with high performance audio video (A/V) and Videoconference (VTC) systems.
Major Areas of Responsibilities:
Pull and terminate A/V cables Install commercial audio video (A/V) systems and A/V control systems (Crestron, Extron, AMX, etc.) Install Videoconference (VTC) products (Polycom, Cisco, LifeSize, etc.) Read basic AV engineering drawings. Maintain cleanliness and safety on site Other duties as assigned by Site Lead or Superintendent Required Qualifications High School diploma or GED 1+ years experience installing commercial AV systems Some experience running and terminating all types of cables and connections Some experience installing major AV industry products (Crestron, Extron and/or AMX) Some experience with installing displays, speakers, screens and projectors Ability to read basic AV Engineering Drawings Good communication skills; strong customer service skills Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Preferred Qualifications Industry certifications a plus (CTS, Crestron, Extron, AMX) Some experience installing Videoconferencing systems (Polycom, Cisco, LifeSize) Physical Requirements Must be able to pass a postoffer drug screen, physical, background check, and Livescan fingerprint checks Must have reliable transportation (able to accommodate a 6 ladder), valid drivers license, and own basic hand tools (Screw drivers, drill, motor drill, hammer, pliers, wire cutters, etc.) Must be able to lift 50 pounds; must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and climb.
Compensation Range Starting at:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour (Full-time). Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage. Paid vacation and holidays. 401(k) matching program.
