Audio Visual (AV) Technician - Contractor TAIV is seeking an experienced Commercial AV Technician to support installations and service across restaurants, bars, gas stations, and retail locations in your market. This is a field-based contractor role requiring strong AV fundamentals, professionalism, and reliable transportation. Responsibilities Install and service TAIV hardware at commercial locations Work with restaurant AV and matrix systems Troubleshoot signal, power, and connectivity issues Communicate professionally with venue staff and internal teams Travel to 2-4 locations per day using your own vehicle Qualifications 3-5 years commercial AV or IT experience Experience working with matrix systems Comfortable using ladders in commercial environments Strong problem-solving and communication skills High school diploma or equivalent ( required ) English required; Spanish preferred Must be able to pass a criminal background check

Compensation & Schedule Position Type:

Contractor (Full-Time opportunities available)

Pay:

$25-$35 per hour, based on experience

Mileage Reimbursement:

$0.71 per mile

Schedule:

Primarily weekdays, with some weekends Installations and service typically scheduled between 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM Weekly schedule varies based on location availability Minimum availability: 3 days per week Requirements to Apply You must have your own reliable vehicle. This role requires driving to 2-4 commercial locations per day using your personal vehicle. Mileage is reimbursed, but transportation is not provided .
