Role:

BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Laboratory Aliquoting Technician

•Positive Samples to join our client's site in Gretna, Louisiana. This role will support laboratory operations by removing presumptive positive samples and aliquoting samples for confirmation in accordance with SAMHSA mandatory guidelines and the requirements of other regulatory organizations.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

Remove presumptive positive samples, aliquot them for confirmation, and arrange the aliquots in order. Store positive samples in the refrigerator/freezer area. Remove positive samples from the freezer for re-aliquoting. Receive and open specimens delivered to the laboratory for analysis. Review and document the acceptability of specimens and chain-of-custody forms. Destroy specimens as needed. Clean and maintain the work area daily. Adhere to all security procedures to ensure the confidentiality of donor information. Comply with company policy. Work in a climate-controlled office and testing laboratory environment. Work in refrigerated and 20-degree freezer areas to store and remove samples. Climb stairs. Work in an environment with potential exposure to toxic or hazardous materials.

Qualifications:

High school education or GED preferred. Basic ability to use a computer. Basic ability to understand laboratory techniques and procedures. Basic ability to communicate ideas. Advanced ability to understand certification requirements for SAMHSA, CAP-FUDT, and other regulatory bodies. Basic ability to understand the function of a Laboratory Information System (LIS) and other laboratory computer systems. Ability to lift and/or move 50 pounds. Ability to have full-body movement. Vision and hearing corrected to meet minimum acceptable norms. Ability to cope with stress due to production obligations. Ability to read and comprehend SOPs, Federal 49 CFR Part 40, and

CAP-FUDT

guidelines. Ability to communicate with other employees and supervisors. Ability to provide input and recommendations on operations. About
