AV Installation Manager Job Summary The AV Installation Manager is responsible for overseeing AV installation projects, ensuring high-quality work, and coordinating with project managers, contractors, and installation teams. Responsibilities Lead on-site installation activities and ensure adherence to project timelines. Supervise installation technicians, subcontractors, and trades personnel. Ensure the highest quality of AV equipment installation. Manage structured cabling, equipment mounting, and system integration. Oversee installation teams and delegate tasks effectively. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and cable diagrams. Provide training and guidance to on-site technicians. Maintain project documentation, site reports, and material inventory. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Maintain a safe and organized work environment. Qualifications 5+ years of experience as an AV installation technician or equivalent.
AVIXA CTS
Certification required (CTS-I preferred). OSHA 30 Certificate required. Knowledge of low-voltage electrical concepts and AV networking. Familiarity with fiber optic cable installation and termination. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot AV systems. Travel Requirements Local travel (70-90%) to job sites (within a two-hour drive). Remote travel (10-30%) for large projects. Occasional airplane travel for out-of-town installations. Physical Working Environment Work in construction site conditions with PPE. Ability to climb ladders, lift up to 40 lbs, and navigate job sites. Extended use of computers, testing equipment, and tools.
