Equipment includes video, audio, and lighting for each event. The audio-video technician uses their mastery of these tools to enhance the quality of church services and live streaming. They also recruit, train, and work with volunteer video and audio booth operators. The position reports to the Pastor.

Overview of Responsibilities:

The Audio-Video Technician has many varied responsibilities. It is their job to assemble microphones; operate soundboards to create an optimal mix; manage lighting, video recordings and graphics; and provide technical support where it is needed, among other tasks, to enhance the quality of live and streaming broadcast. Audio-Video Technician Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to: Is responsible for organizing, installing, and operating a variety of types of equipment, including: projectors, microphones, soundboards, livestream and video monitors, among others. For Sunday worship services, set up and operate audiovisual equipment, including microphones, projectors, soundboards, and video monitors, or supervises and supports AV volunteer staff with these tasks. Work directly with the Pastor, Worship team, and others in order to implement their specifications. Conduct quality control analysis during services and make adjustments as needed. Provide technical assistance when needed. Alter the arrangement of venues to fit the needs of participants. Be available for, or secure technicians for funerals, special services, and events.

Audio Video Technician Requirements:

High School Diploma or Technical Certificate. Training in audio-video support or previous experience is required. Experience with soundboards, microphones, video tools, and related equipment. Advanced knowledge of modern sound mixing techniques. Ability to work collaboratively and lead a team of volunteers.
