Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking detail oriented individuals to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the building, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our systems in-house and in various settings. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and hands-on skills to ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and effectively. Experience a plus but willing to train. Do you have knowledge of basic hand tools? Willing to learn something new? Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain audio-visual systems which may including projectors, A/V racks, sound systems, and video equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on all AV equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware issues related to audio-visual systems, providing timely solutions.
  • Collaborate with other technical staff to design and implement AV solutions for various projects.
  • Read and interpret schematics to assist in the installation and repair of AV systems.
  • Utilize hand tools and electrical testing equipment such as voltmeters, soldering irons, cable connectors, for installation and repairs.
  • Manage cabling installations ensuring compliance with safety standards for low voltage systems.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on the operation of AV equipment. Skills
  • Mechanical knowledge related to general tools. Audio-visual or security equipment a plus.
  • Proficiency with hand tools for installation and repair tasks.
  • Experience with cabling techniques specific to audio-visual setups.
  • Ability to troubleshoot software issues effectively.
  • Familiarity with electrical concepts, including low voltage systems.
  • Knowledge of Electrical & Instrumentation (E & I) practices is a plus.
  • Competence in computer hardware setup and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics related to AV installations.
