Job Description
Webco Manufacturing is seeking a Custom Fabrication Welder to produce precision sheet metal components for diverse industries. In this role, you will interpret blueprints, set up and operate welding and fabrication equipment, and perform high-quality MIG/TIG welding on various metals. Responsibilities include fitting, tacking, final welds, grinding, and finishing to exact tolerances while following safety and quality standards. You'll collaborate with engineers and assembly teams, support continuous improvement, and maintain equipment. Responsibilities Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to plan welding and fabrication tasks. Set up and operate MIG/TIG welding and related fabrication equipment safely and efficiently. Fit, tack, weld, grind, and finish metal components to precise tolerances. Inspect welds and parts for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area. Collaborate with engineering and assembly teams to resolve fabrication issues. Perform basic maintenance and setup on welding and fabrication equipment. Document work performed and track jobs through production as required. Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives. Train and mentor less experienced team members as needed.
