Tulsa, OK Job Details Full-time 17 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Digital projector support Lighting systems AV system installation Network infrastructure Audiovisual control systems operation Control system programming (AV systems) Projection system operation Full Job Description An AV Service Technician works closely with new and existing ImageNet AV clients to perform diagnostic tests, maintenance, and repair of Audio Video systems. The ability to quickly troubleshoot, consult available documentation or vendor resources allows our clients to keep their uptime at a premium.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs any service calls and installations assigned by AV Project Coordinator Assists in sales and customer facing meetings as needed and reports all customer complaints to management for follow up Inspects and tests equipment to locate and repair problems; assists other AV Team members in troubleshooting audiovisual or network related issues Recommends changes in installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance Adjusts, calibrates, aligns, and modifies equipment, and records effects on system performance Demonstrates use of equipment to customers following installation or repair and checks function of newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions Sends email reports to Lead Installer detailing work done in connection with installation or repair Reads technical manuals to learn correct settings for equipment and continues to develop knowledge and skills pertaining to audiovisual and network technical support. Discusses layout and assembly procedures and problems to clarify design details and functional criteria of units and assembles complete prototype system if scheduling allows. Submits all pertinent administrative data complete and on time Maintains vehicle, tools, and inventory in a neat, clean, and organized fashion. Communicates with the Lead Installer or Project Coordinator concerning delays, unsafe sites, accidents, equipment breakdowns and other maintenance problems. Communicates training needs that may increase system effectiveness to Project Coordinator.
QUALIFICATIONS
CTS and/or CTS-I Certification Required within first year of hire. 5+ years in general Commercial AV or similar IT-related experience preferred Experience with programming and navigating QSC, Extron, Crestron, AMX, Cisco, Biamp, and general network infrastructure software is required Prior experience in commercial sound, video, lighting, projection systems, corporate conference room sound & video and videoconferencing is required. Knowledge of complex wiring configurations and/or signal flow for audio, video, and control preferred but not required Proven track record in providing superior client service Strong time management and self-management skills Self-motivated and possesses the ability to work independently Good written communication and PC skills Ability to process Service Requests and reports in a timely and accurate manner Excellent organization and communication skills Knowledge and use of specific test equipment for required applications Knowledge and application of industry installation safety codes and standards. Continues to develop knowledge and skills pertaining to Commercial Audiovisual best practices and systems Great customer service skills with a commitment to resolving customer concerns and meeting customer requirements
Preferred Education and Experience Education:
Associate's degree or equivalent from a two (2) year college or technical school preferre
Experience:
5+ years in general Commercial AV or similar IT-related experience preferred. Knowledge of complex wiring configurations and/or signal flow for audio, video, and control preferred. Additional Eligibility Qualifications Must be able to accomplish any and all duties with little to no assistance.
