JL Entertainment Designs is seeking a Lead Audio/Video Technician to support our growing company in Chester County. This field-based, customer-facing role includes installing A/V equipment for residential, commercial, and hospitality clients. The position also includes troubleshooting, minor service repairs, and equipment modifications.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Perform and lead a team to assemble, install, and troubleshoot A/V equipment including: rack assembly, installing video projectors and TVs, music systems, speaker installation, home automation, automated shades and other related equipment. Run, terminate, test, and label cables. Basic setup and configuration of networks, including, but not limited to, routers, access points, managed switches, etc. Ability to understand and integrate AV equipment within a network. Train and instruct customers on the proper use of applicable technology. Manage time, including time on customer sites and travel time. Maintain a positive relationship with clients while ensuring their needs are met and that the equipment is functioning properly. Other duties as required or assigned.
Experience and Skills:
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or
GED. 2-3
years' experience in AV/IT industry.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities :
Experience using hand/power tools. 2-3 years of experience with audio, video, surveillance systems, and wired/wireless networks. Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video, and control. General working knowledge of URC Total Control systems a plus. Demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A clean, valid driver's license is required. Position requires lifting, pushing/pulling up to 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally. Must be able to work in small spaces and on uneven surfaces. Must be comfortable climbing ladders and working on scissor lifts of 15 ft. or more.
