Job Summary Audio/Visual Installation HelperJob Summary We are seeking a dependable and motivated Audio/Visual Installation Helper to join our team. This is an entry-level, hands-on position assisting our installation technicians with televisions, home theater systems, networking equipment, surveillance cameras, and other low-voltage technology in residential homes and commercial environments. Prior AV installation experience is not required. We are willing to train the right person who is dependable, mechanically inclined, comfortable working with tools, and interested in learning the audio/video and low-voltage industry. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants the opportunity to develop the skills needed to become an AV Installation Technician. Responsibilities Assist lead technicians with daily installations Help mount and install televisions, soundbars, speakers, and home theater equipment Assist with surveillance camera installations Assist with wired and wireless networking installations Run and organize low-voltage cabling Help conceal and manage wiring for clean, professional installations Carry tools, televisions, equipment, and installation materials Set up and break down ladders and equipment Safely use basic hand and power tools Protect customers' homes and businesses while work is being performed Keep work areas and company vehicles clean and organized Travel between customer job sites throughout the workday Learn installation, troubleshooting, and low-voltage skills from experienced technicians
Qualifications Required:
Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Dependable and punctual Comfortable performing physical, hands-on work Ability to work on ladders Ability to safely use or learn to use common hand and power tools Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment; some installations may involve equipment weighing 100+ lbs. with team assistance Strong attention to detail Professional attitude and appearance Ability to communicate respectfully with customers and coworkers Willingness to learn and take direction Preferred butNot Required:
Construction, electrical, cable, satellite, telecom, or other trade experience Experience using drills and basic hand tools TV mounting experience Low-voltage wiring experience Networking or computer experience Surveillance camera experience What We're Looking For Experience can be taught. We are looking for someone who shows up on time, works hard, takes care of customers' homes and property, and wants to continuously improve their skills.
