Job Description
Overview The Swiftwater, the Poconos newest Luxury Property is opening a Conference and Event Center and in search of a qualified Technology Coordinator. We are seeking a a reliable tech-savvy Event Technology & A/V Coordinator to support the successful execution of events at our new Conference and Event Center. This role will be responsible for setting up, managing and troubleshooting audio/visual and basic technology needs for a wide range of events, while working closely with event managers to ensure all Banquet Event Order (BEO) requirements are met. This is a hands-on operational role ideal for someone who is comfortable with technology, enjoys problem solving in real time and can deliver a seamless guest experience. Responsibilities Coordinate with event managers and staff to review and execute BEO requirements related to A/V and technology Set up and manage: TV's, Projectors and Presentation Displays, Microphones (wired and wireless), Speakers, and basic sound systems Ensure proper placement and availability of Power(Extension Cords, Power Strips, Cable Runs), HDMI and other connectivity solutions Assist guests with connecting devices to displays(HDMI, Wireless Casting, Adapters), Running Presentations, Slide Shows or Video Content Perform basic troubleshooting of Display issues(no signal, resolution problems, audio sync, etc.), Microphones and Speaker Systems, Network Connectivity(Wi-Fi access, simple router/device resets if needed) Monitor A/V systems during events to ensure everything runs smoothly Tear down and reset equipment between events Maintain organization and inventory of cables, adapters and A/V equipment Communicate clearly and professionally wiith staff and guests udner time sensitive conditions Qualifications Basic to intermediate understanding of A/V and general technology Familiarity with: HDMI connections, adaptors and signal flow, Wireless screen sharing (Airplay, Chromecast), Microphones, Speakers and simple audio setups, Power distributions and Cable management Ability to troubleshoot common tech issues quickly and calmly Comfortable working on your feet and lifting/moving equipment as needed Strong communication skills and a customer service mindset Ability to work evenings, weekends and flexible hours based on event schedules Join us as an Event Technology & AV Coordinator to bring energy, innovation, and professionalism to every occasion.
