Employee engagement clubsNew Employee Buddy/CHAMPION ProgramWhat You'll DoAs an AV Service Technician, you will provide maintenance, service, troubleshooting, and support for commercial audiovisual systems throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth market.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair commercial audio visual systemsTroubleshoot complex AV, video conferencing, and control system issuesPerform service calls and preventative maintenance on installed AV systemsConfigure and support AV control platforms such as Crestron and AMXInstall, configure, and calibrate audio and video equipmentService projection systems, displays, DSPs, switchers, and presentation systemsPerform rack modifications and equipment upgradesIdentify system deficiencies and recommend corrective actionsDocument service activities and communicate findings with customers and internal teamsProvide excellent customer service while representing DataVox at client sitesAssist with commissioning and system optimization as needed
Who You Are:
Required Qualifications5+ years of commercial AV installation, commissioning, or service experienceExperience supporting and troubleshooting complex AV systemsExperience working in commercial construction environmentsExperience with AMX and/or Crestron control systemsStrong understanding of:

Commercial Audio Visual SystemsVideo Conferencing TechnologiesAV Control SystemsAudio DSP PlatformsVideo Switching & DistributionProjectors and Large Format DisplaysBasic knowledge of:

Networking fundamentalsTCP/IP networkingRouters and switchesIP-based AV technologiesPreferred QualificationsCTS (Certified Technology Specialist) CertificationCTS-I or CTS-D CertificationExperience with Audio Architect, Q-SYS, Biamp, or similar DSP platformsAutoCAD, AudioCAD, or VidCAD experienceExperience with enterprise conference room technologiesWhat Makes You SuccessfulWe're looking for someone who:

Physical Demands:
Work involves standing, talking, hearing, using hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls and reaching with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk, sit, climb, balance, stand, stoop, kneel, drive and reach. Skill in operation of some of the listed tools and equipment; and ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods of time. The employee must frequently push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in inclement weather conditions. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibration. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
