Pay:
$18.00-$35.00/hour, based on experience level, from entry-level installation work up through senior technician skills
Schedule:
Full-time, 10-hour shifts,
Monday-Thursday Travel:
Occasional out-of-town work (~20%), always home by the weekend Job Summary We're looking for a skilled AV Installation Technician to help us deliver outstanding audiovisual experiences for our clients. You'll install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain AV systems, including audio, video, control systems, and networking, across corporate installations, and conference environments. Experience in the AV field is required. We're especially looking for someone with a genuine love for AV work and a desire to mentor and share knowledge with teammates. There's real room to grow here. Responsibilities Install and configure audio systems, video conferencing systems, control systems, and DSP devices according to project specs and schematics Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings for precise setup and integration Troubleshoot AV systems using hand tools, voltmeters, and diagnostic software Perform routine maintenance on installed systems Run cabling and wiring, including low-voltage electrical work, telecom lines, and mechanical assembly Operate AV control systems during live events or meetings Install amplifiers, speakers, cameras, monitors, projectors, and screens Pull wire, solder, climb ladders, and test/document results Work closely with project managers and clients on-site to deliver excellent service Requirements Proven experience in AV installation and troubleshooting Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints Familiarity with AV control system programming, DSP, and software troubleshooting Hands-on experience with cabling, mechanical assembly, and low-voltage/telecom wiring Competence with testing equipment (e.g., voltmeters) Strong communication skills; able to explain technical issues clearly to clients Mechanical aptitude Valid driver's license (required) Prior rigging experience a plus Must pass drug screening and background check Self-motivated, dependable, and eager to learn A team player who thrives in a hands-on environment Benefits 401(k) matching Medical, dental, and vision insurance Health savings account Paid time off Poll Sound is an equal opportunity employer.
