Job Description

Job Description TES Consultants is seeking an Intermediate AV/VTC Specialist to provide hands-on audiovisual and video teleconferencing support for a federal agency client in the National Capital Region. Working alongside the senior specialist and production engineer, you will keep conference rooms, collaboration spaces and meeting technology running for a headquarters population and its field offices. Day to day, you will take AV and VTC tickets from across the agency, set up and support scheduled meetings and events, troubleshoot audio, video, and connectivity faults, and perform preventive maintenance on room systems. You will work across Cisco and Poly room platforms with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco Webex, and Poly RealPresence. , Required Skills A minimum of six (6) years of experience supporting audiovisual and video teleconferencing systems in an enterprise or comparable environment. Setting up, operating, and troubleshooting VTC endpoints, room systems, displays, microphones, and cameras. Supporting virtual and hybrid meetings across Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and comparable collaboration platforms. First-line diagnosis of audio quality, video transmission, network connectivity, and hardware issues, with escalation when a fault exceeds your scope. Routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and firmware updates on AV equipment. Recording work in a ticketing system with enough detail that another technician can pick it up. Ability to pass a full-field five-year employment background investigation (SF-85P, Questionnaire for Public Trust Positions) prior to starting work. Authorized to work in the United States; all work performed within the United States. Professional written and verbal communication, and a customer-service manner suitable for supporting executives and senior officials. Education. Bachelor's degree required (see Required Skills). Technical school or military training in audiovisual, broadcast, electronics, or IT is valued in addition. Certifications.
