In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, maintaining, and operating a wide range of AV equipment and systems to deliver exceptional event experiences. Your technical expertise, mechanical aptitude, and customer service skills will be vital in creating engaging environments that meet client specifications and industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting diverse events from corporate meetings to large-scale productions. Responsibilities Prepare venues by installing, configuring, and testing audiovisual systems including video conferencing equipment, audio systems, control systems, cabling, and low voltage wiring. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AV system operation, software glitches, equipment failures, and network connectivity to ensure smooth event execution. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and AV system diagrams to accurately install and modify systems according to design specifications. Operate AV equipment during live events, including audio mixing, video switching, control system management, and digital signal processing to deliver high-quality presentations. Perform routine maintenance on AV hardware and software components; conduct inspections for mechanical integrity and electrical safety compliance. Collaborate with clients and event staff to understand technical requirements; provide exceptional customer service by offering technical support before, during, and after events. Document system configurations, maintenance activities, troubleshooting steps, and incident reports for ongoing operational improvements. Qualifications Proven experience working in the AV industry with a strong understanding of audiovisual system installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints (AV systems), schematics for telecommunication wiring, and control system programming. Hands-on experience with AV control systems operation, video conferencing systems setup/operation, audio system implementation, and digital signal processing. Skilled in using hand tools for cabling and equipment installation; mechanical knowledge is a plus. Knowledge of computer networking principles related to AV systems; familiarity with computer hardware troubleshooting is essential. Ability to interpret electrical schematics and schematics related to telecommunication infrastructure. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot software issues across various platforms quickly. Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor; capable of working under pressure during live event setups. Valid experience with live event AV production projects from planning through execution; familiarity with engineering troubleshooting methods is preferred. Knowledge of electrical experience including low voltage wiring practices; ability to implement audio systems effectively in diverse environments.
