Job Description
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Media Assistant to support media operations, asset processing, and delivery workflows within a fast‑paced, results‑driven media technology environment. This role supports the preparation, validation, trafficking, and distribution of digital media assets across streaming and broadcast platforms.
The Media Assistant will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure media assets meet technical, editorial, and delivery specifications while supporting operational reporting and workflow efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess and manage media assets in a results‑driven environmentTraffic media assets using tools such as Google-based systems, Airtable, or internal platformsPrepare media for OTT, streaming, and downstream distributionPerform editorial updates to final files to ensure compliance with distribution specificationsMeasure and validate audio loudness to meet required standardsReview, validate, and remediate timed text files (English SDH and foreign language subtitles)Receive and deliver media via Aspera or other cloud-based delivery mechanismsTroubleshoot media file issues and recommend corrective actionsPerform metadata validation and entry, including segment timing for broadcast automation systemsCollaborate with team members to ensure efficient execution of daily operationsAssist management with daily, weekly, and executive-level operational reportingTechnical Skills & ToolsThe Media Assistant should have experience or working knowledge of:
Cloud-based asset management systems (Aspera On Cloud, MAMs, Data I/O)Media curation, trafficking, and streaming workflows from intake to deliveryVideo and audio transcoding/encoding using tools such as Adobe Premiere ProDigital file formats including ProRes and proxy file creationTimed Text workflows, including English SDH and foreign language subtitlesHDR and SDR color workflows and tools such as Colorfront TranskoderMedia validation tools such as MediaInfo and Dolby Vision MetafierHarding software for photosensitive epilepsy (PSE) testingShort-form media content, including horizontal and vertical formats
