Electronics Test Technician Duration:

Location:
Poway CA Key Responsibilities Set up, perform, and analyze experiments and tests per established procedures; accurately record results. Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in electronics systems and equipment down to the PWA/component level. Interpret and work from schematics, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, block diagrams, and technical publications. Operate and maintain test equipment including DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators, and similar tools. Repair electrical, electronic, and integrated circuits with precision. Provide technical guidance, training, and support to other technicians. Ensure proper use of materials, tools, and equipment to maximize efficiency. Collaborate with team members to resolve technical challenges; escalate complex issues as needed. Adhere to safety protocols, especially when working with high-voltage, high-pressure, high-energy, cryogenic, or other hazardous systems. Qualifications Associate's degree or equivalent plus 2+ years of related experience; 3+ years of direct experience accepted in lieu of degree. Military or technical school training in test/experimental operations preferred.
Strong knowledge of electronics fundamentals:
Ohm's Law, op-amp circuits, AC/DC conversion. Proficient with RF systems, communications, and RF components (amplifiers, filters, oscillators, mixers); skilled in diagnosing RF issues. Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, voltmeters, digital multimeters, function generators, LabVIEW, and programming tools (ICD 2/3/4, CPLD, J-Link). Strong attention to detail, adaptability to changing priorities, and effective communication skills. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and documentation. Team-oriented mindset with a positive, solution-focused attitude.
