This role ensures all studio equipment and broadcast workflows operate efficiently and reliably before, during, and after live and recorded productions. The technician provides hands-on support for studio productions including live broadcasts, prerecords, and special events while maintaining technical quality standards and assisting talent, production staff, and engineering teams in delivering high-quality content.
Essential Duties:
Operates various equipment (camera, audio, visual, graphics and lighting) used for live broadcasts and recorded productions. Prepare studios for live and recorded productions. Set up, test and maintain microphones, IFBs, studio cameras and studio monitors. Provide camera, and audio/lighting production support as needed. Assist with talent setup - including microphone and IFB placement. Maintains and stores equipment. Perform equipment checks and operational testing.
Requirements & Skills:
High School Diploma Required Experience in television, film or post production preferred Must be able to interact well with directors, anchors, production and engineering staff Detail oriented Excellent communication and organization skills Basic computer knowledge Strong understanding of live broadcasts and studio operations Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. Adaptability and problem-solving skills
Compensation Range:
$35-$40/hourly based upon experience
