Job Description
Internship Overview:
As a Master Control/Ingest Operations Intern, you will support the day-to-day operations of our Master Control room and ingest processes. This role will provide valuable insights into the technical aspects of broadcasting, from signal monitoring to media asset management, while working closely with experienced professionals in the field.Responsibilities:
Assist with the ingest of live and recorded content into our broadcasting system. Monitor and maintain signal integrity for incoming and outgoing broadcasts. Help organize and manage media assets, ensuring proper labeling and storage protocols are followed. Support the troubleshooting of technical issues during broadcasts and ingest processes. Participate in quality control checks to ensure optimal broadcast standards. Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely delivery and accurate scheduling of content. Learn and assist in the operation of broadcast equipment, including servers and automation systems. Uphold NLSE's technical standards and practices for quality assurance.Required Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and equipment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Enthusiasm for sports and a desire to learn about the broadcasting industry. "Championship" mindset.Preferred Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Broadcasting, Media Production, or a related field. Familiarity with broadcasting equipment and software (training will be provided). Basic understanding of video formats, codecs, and broadcast standards. Previous experience in a technical role within media or broadcasting (internships, coursework, or personal projects).
