Suburban Community Channels (SCC) is seeking a cable caster to set-up and operate a multi-camera video and audio system to cablecast municipal meetings online and on cable television. This role will facilitate several meetings a month in the cities of White Bear Lake and Lake Elmo, as well as serve as a back-up cable caster for other nearby cities. The job will consist of the following: Execute any and all technical elements necessary for public meeting productions, and/or special programming projects, recorded at a city hall facility, studio, or other location. Provide basic equipment troubleshooting skills to assure live and live-to-digital coverage of public meetings. Report equipment operational problems in a timely manner. Must be reliable and on time. Communicate to facilitate any pre/post production arrangements, which may be necessary for meeting coverage. Must develop proficiency with remote cameras and other production equipment. Obey all traffic laws and work in a safe manner. Perform other ancillary duties of Cablecaster, as needed and directed. Able to multitask and be able to handle changing scenarios during live broadcast. Proven ability to work independently and assume responsibilities with minimal direct supervision. Training provided, but experience preferred.
