  • Studio Show We are seeking an experienced Utility III to support the Good Morning Football studio show at KC Live! in Kansas City. The Utility III is the most advanced utility role on the crew and should be staffed with someone who is highly experienced, dependable, and capable of working independently. Previous experience working at this venue is strongly preferred. Responsibilities
  • Assist with the build and strike of camera equipment as needed.
  • Support camera operators and the production team throughout the event.
  • Arrive on-site prepared to work with minimal to no supervision.
  • Take initiative and lead when needed, helping ensure the crew and equipment remain organized and production-ready.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and general utility needs related to the camera department.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Properly wrap and manage cables using professional over/under technique.
  • Maintain tidy cable coils behind handheld camera operators and throughout the production area. Qualifications
  • Significant experience as a TV/Live Production Utility, preferably at the Utility III level or equivalent.
  • Strong operational familiarity with television production equipment, including:
  • Cameras
  • Cables
  • Monitors
  • Related camera/production accessories
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced live production environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to take direction while also recognizing when to take initiative.
  • Excellent cable management skills, including proper over/under wrapping techniques.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and comfortable with the physical demands of production work, including assisting with equipment builds and strikes.
  • Previous experience at KC Live!
is highly preferred. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a seasoned live-production utility who can hit the ground running, requires little supervision, understands professional camera-department workflow, and can step up to take the lead when necessary.
